Falcon Field Airport: A Hub for Business Aviation
The aviation industry at Falcon Field Airport is booming like never before. With numerous construction projects transforming the airfield, the growth is driven by the increasing demand from business travelers and corporate aviation. One of the most exciting developments is the Falcon 12 Aviation Center, which will feature 14 high-end executive hangars. Additionally, the Falcon Hangars LLC initiative will contribute seven corporate-ready spaces to the airport's infrastructure, further enriching its facilities.
Growth Driven by Strategic Location
Airport Director Corinne Nystrom emphasized the airport's strategic location, which has been pivotal in attracting investments from companies looking to tap into the business aviation market. Currently, Falcon Field boasts 166 executive-style hangars and is set to add more than 30 additional hangars. This expansion will cater to a growing clientele that includes aviation charters, aircraft dealers, corporate headquarters, and even aviation manufacturing.
Plans for Future Expansion
The surge in development is not slowing down. Mesa Hangars is working on a significant expansion, adding five more hangars, each around 9,000 square feet, to accommodate mid-size jets like Gulfstream IVs or Hawkers. This endeavor is known as the future "Hangar G" building space, and it aligns with the airport's $28 million investment project aimed at enhancing its infrastructure.
Preparing for Tomorrow's Aviation Needs
According to Dee Anne Thomas, Airport Administration Manager, the growth at Falcon Field reflects strong market confidence. The airport is investing in infrastructure and innovative solutions to secure its status as a leading destination for business and recreational aviation alike. It’s not just about growth; it’s about future-proofing the airport to meet the needs of airlines, logistics managers, and business travelers.
